I’ve been lurking your blog for awhile! So I’m commenting now to let you know that yes, you still do have at least me for a reader I agree with you about commenting on other people’s blogs as a means of advertising. I’m not in PR, but I am interested in reading about the PR industry and I have a blog because of what I’ve read – even though it has absolutely nothing to do with PR, or anything interesting at all really!

You’re right. Comments on other people’s blogs do draw them to read your blog. There are so many feeds that it’s hard to stand out. If you want someone’s attention, comment in their place. In fact, I spend more time reading and commenting than I do writing on my own blog. And I also learn more by doing this.

You like posting even if no one reads it. Ah, but some do, don’t they? I like the fact that you’re not so worried anymore about tracking it. I used to watch those traffic reports — got all excited when I cracked 1,000 hits in one day. Then my blogmeisters changed the template and I still can’t figure out how to access my stats — eight months later! Sure, I’m curious. But, really, who cares. I’m more interested in who weighs in to comment.

So, consider this a comment.

I read! I”ve been lurking around for a little bit now. I am a Communications Assistant by day and a part-time PR student at Humber College by night. It was fun and interesting to get the scoop on PR education from another perspective.
